Dimitar Botev has over ten years of experience in energy, investments, capital advisory, and trading across Europe.
As an energy executive, Dimitar has implemented nearly 300 MW of renewable energy projects in Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Most recently, he managed the Bulgarian renewable project portfolio of leading Austrian energy company EVN (ETR:EVN).
As an investor, Dimitar served as Chairman of Venquity Progressive Capital, a joint venture between Bulgarian and Israeli investors, focused on renewable energy projects in Bulgaria and Germany. Dimitar has a strong commitment to entrepreneurship, providing angel funding and operational support to several young businesses, including an apparel accessories producer and an independent film production company.
As an advisor, Dimitar led the Bulgarian operations of Swiss capital advisory firm GloboInvest International, where he successfully developed long-term market entry strategies for multiple international clients. Dimitar started his professional career as a capital markets trader at Dresdner Bank and Deutsche Bank in Germany, where he focused on fundamental analyses and risk management.
An adventure sport enthusiast, Dimitar is active with several ecological organizations. He has also been an external contributor to the Institute of Economics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
Dimitar holds a Bachelor degree in International Economic Relations from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria and a Master degree in International Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Muenster, Germany.
