Maxim Gurvits has more than five years of experience in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and investment banking.
Most recently, Max served as founding Principal at the Eleven Accelerator Venture Fund, the largest accelerator program in the CEE region. He was instrumental in launching operations, building the investment pipeline, deploying EUR 3 million across 35 start-ups, and managing key partnerships with educational, investment and media organizations. Additionally, Max has successfully integrated mentors from his network and promoted Eleven at leading industry events as a speaker and panellist.
As an entrepreneur, Max co-founded the first online legal service provider in the Netherlands – Regedit.nl – and led the company to the revenue generation stage prior to making his personal exit in 2011.
After moving to Bulgaria in 2011, Max became an investment banker with Sofia-based boutique M&A firm New Europe Corporate Advisory (NECA), where he successfully executed mandates in telecom privatization and industrial infrastructure acquisition.
Max started his career at the European Commission and worked in the publishing sector before launching his first venture. Raised in Russia, USA, Latin America, and Netherlands, and currently residing in Bulgaria, Max is fluent in six languages, loves to blog about start-ups, and is frequently found in art and creative circles.
Max holds a Masters degree in International and European law from the University of Groningen (Netherlands) and also attended Universita di Bologna (Italy) and University of Wisconsin-Madison (United States).
